H2 and Road Transport

Investigation of the ongoing and necessary H 2 deployment for heavy-duty transport along the Oslo-Germany stretch of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean TEN-T network corridor. This work includes an evaluation of present infrastructure in terms of refuelling stations along the route and an estimation of the future need based on:

  • Fulfilling the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure regulation (AFIR)
  • Current traffic intensities
  • Possible cross-sectoral interactions
  • Forecasted market penetration of heavy-duty transport in 2030/2040

Based on this evaluation, an assessment of key barriers for implementation of hydrogen refueling infrastructure along the route will be presented as well as key actions to overcome these barriers. The goal is also to present a rough estimate on costs to develop this infrastructure.
